Lumen Christi Parents & Friends Family-School Partnerships – providing a context Parents are the first educators of their children. They are the most constant influence on their child’s learning and development both during and beyond formal schooling. The school has responsibility to support parents in the task of nurturing future generations, in line with the mandated educational curriculum. Decades of research, at home and overseas, clearly demonstrate that the most effective schools have high levels of parental and community involvement. Fostering productive, sustainable partnerships with our families is therefore crucial for the education of individual students as well as the success of the College. PnF Core Group for 2011 A core group of people manage the work of the PnF. Below is a list of the positions of office within this group. Meetings are open to any parent or guardian, those unable to attend may still nominate to join one of the subgroups who coordinate different aspects of PnF projects. expressions of interest for subgroups are welcome at any time, and for 2011 the positions of office are listed below.
